On 6 July 2026, a delegation of the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland, comprising President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland, Jacek Chlebny, President of the Regional Administrative Court in Kraków, Judge of the SAC of Poland, Anna Dumas, President of 1st Division in the Financial Chamber of  the SAC of Poland, Judge of the SAC of Poland, Roman Wiatrowski, Judge of the SAC of Poland, Andrzej Skoczylas, Judge of the SAC of Poland, Joanna Wegner, Judge of the SAC of Poland, Mariusz Golecki and judicial assistant–chief specialist in the Chancellory of the President of the SAC of Poland, Anna Chmielarz-Grochal, paid an official visit to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.


The European Court of Human Rights was represented at the meeting by its President, Mattias Guyomar; Vice-President Ivana Jelić; Judge Gilberto Felici; Judge Erik Wennerström; Judge Frédéric Krenc; Judge Davor Derenčinović; Judge Alain Chablais; Judge Artūrs Kučs; Judge Anna Adamska-Gallant; the Registrar, Marialena Tsirli; the Deputy Registrar, Abel Campos; and other Registry staff.


The meeting included a seminar bringing together judges of the European Court of Human Rights and the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland, which was opened by the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mattias Guyomar, and the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland, Jacek Chlebny. The following topics were then discussed: Fair trial standard and judicial independence; Review by national courts of the proportionality of limitations on rights and freedoms in the geopolitical context; Migration and the European Court of Human Rights: recent developments and current challenges; and Article 8 of the Convention, in the context of the protection of the private and family life of same-sex couples.
